After earning his MBBS from Allama Iqbal Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan, Dr. Bajwa completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Throughout his career, he has been a dedicated mentor and teacher, instructing medical students on ECG interpretation and cardiovascular diseases.

Dr. Bajwa is a highly accomplished physician specializing in internal medicine, with a strong focus on cardiac care and diabetes. He brings a wealth of experience from prior roles as a hospitalist and cardiac nocturnist at South Shore Hospital, Rhode Island Hospital, and Morton Hospital.

His career is marked by a deep commitment to clinical research in cardiology, endocrinology, and imaging — including landmark trials on salsalate in managing type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease, and work on continuous glucose monitoring published in peer-reviewed journals. He also has a notable history of volunteer work, including medical relief after the 2005 earthquake in Northern Pakistan. Dr. Bajwa is fluent in English, Urdu, Punjabi, and Hindi.

A graduate of Allama Iqbal Medical College in Pakistan, Dr. Nazir completed his residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His research has been published in respected journals, with a particular focus on innovative diagnostic techniques like endoscopic ultrasound.

Dr. Nazir is a board-certified internal medicine physician with wide-ranging experience in both hospital and outpatient settings, providing comprehensive care on general medical floors, in orthopedics, oncology, and other units.

Throughout his career he has been an active member of rapid response and stroke teams, has a strong background teaching medical students and junior residents, and has led quality-improvement initiatives. He is a member of the American College of Physicians and holds ACLS and BLS certifications.

Shahid Ali, MD, ABOM

Dr. Shahid Ali is a board-certified internal medicine physician and certified obesity provider (American Board of Obesity Medicine), with extensive experience in both clinical practice and academic medicine. He has served as a hospitalist at South Shore Hospital in Massachusetts since 2014.

He holds the title of Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Tufts School of Medicine, where he educates medical students. His extensive international experience includes roles as a Specialist in Cardiology in Saudi Arabia and as a consultant physician and attending cardiologist at hospitals in India.

His clinical practice is supported by a strong foundation in academic medicine, demonstrated by research and paper presentations on topics ranging from infectious diseases to diagnostic imaging. Dr. Ali leads the practice’s Weight Management & Metabolic Health Program.
